SEBASTIAN Degenhardt
WECC / Facility Management

I see events as a well-composed piece of music: only when all elements come together does something truly functional—and moving—emerge. For 15 years, I was active in Berlin’s club and music scene as an organizer and DJ, running my own highly successful party series. Atmosphere, organization, technical know-how, and a strong sense for the moment—all of it played a role. Mastering the technical side is one thing—seeing the big picture and bringing everything together is another.
I’ve been with 40 SECONDS BERLIN since 2016, first working in logistics at a refugee shelter at Tempelhof Airport, and later as Technical Director at the WECC. I handle facility maintenance, coordinate service providers, and support events from the initial concept to the final lights-out. I’m now also active at our Eichborndamm location, where I oversaw the construction and continue to move things forward step by step.
No two days are the same—and that’s exactly what excites me. I love when many individual pieces come together to form a cohesive whole. To make that happen, I plan ahead, listen carefully—and keep the rhythm at just the right moment.
